Why we cut this one
Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop — that is the machine this one was measured against. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.
What we care about is the gap between the Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop and the wall around it. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten. A machine that slides half an inch inside its own case is a machine that arrives with a dented lid.
The front compartment takes a phone, its cable and a set of keys — enough that a 16-inch case stops being a laptop case and starts being the whole kit.
This one is the Black-for 16 inch Alienware M16 R1 cut in 16 inch. It was measured against Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop, Alienware x16/m16 R1 Gaming Laptop (Not Fit with Alienware m16 R2).
