We made this for AirPods Max/AirPods Max 2 Over-Ear Headphone, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. every cell goes in a slot of its own.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. Heat is what kills a cell, so the slots are spaced and the housing vents rather than sealing the pack in. We drew this pattern around the AirPods Max with that in mind.
