Why we cut this one

We build this hard EVA shells around ASUS Chromebook C424/C423. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is the whole reason we cut a separate pattern instead of selling one size for everything.

We tried this pattern the way the ASUS Chromebook C424 actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten.

Besides the ASUS Chromebook C424 it swallows a phone, its cable and a set of keys, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.

The X Series-Black finish is what this listing is in 14 inch — it was measured against ASUS Chromebook C424/C423.

Before you buy

Will the ASUS Chromebook C424 still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in this pattern. A second hard shell already clipped to the ASUS Chromebook C424 is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

Does it fit in a tote as well?

Yes — the outer walls of this pattern stay flat, so with the ASUS Chromebook C424 inside it drops into a laptop compartment or a tote without bulging.

Can I order a second one for another machine?

Yes, and people often do — one for the ASUS Chromebook C424 and one for whatever lives at home. Check the second machine against its own page; patterns are not shared across makes.
