Why we cut this one

We made this for HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten. We drew this pattern around the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr with that in mind.

Alongside the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr there is room for a travel adapter, a USB-C hub and a stylus. We would rather give you one honest pocket than four that each hold half a thing.

This one is the X Series-Black cut in 16.1 inch. It was measured against 16.1 inch HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr/HP OMEN Laptop 16-k0797nr, Waterproof and Anti-Shock Bag (X8290).

Before you buy

Can I run a trolley strap through the 16.1-inch case?

Yes. The back panel is flat and firm, so a trolley strap or a shoulder strap sits across it without folding the case or pressing on the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr.

Is the 16.1-inch case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

What if the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr turns out to be a different revision?

Fit is the one thing we would rather you check twice. Compare the model number on the base of the HP OMEN Laptop 16-n0797nr with the list on this page, and if it is not there, send the case back through the order page of the store you bought it from.
