Why we cut this one

DELL Precision 7680/7670 — that is the machine this one was measured against. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten. We drew this pattern around the DELL Precision with that in mind.

The front compartment takes a charger, a short cable and a mouse — enough that a 16-inch case stops being a laptop case and starts being the whole kit.

X Series-Black in 16 inch, and that is the whole difference between this page and its neighbours. It was measured against 16 inch DELL Precision 7680/7670 Workstation Laptop (X8287).

Before you buy

Will the DELL Precision still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in this pattern. A second hard shell already clipped to the DELL Precision is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

Will the zip pull scratch the DELL Precision?

No. The sliders on this pattern sit in a recessed channel and the pull folds flat, so the metal never reaches the DELL Precision.

Does this pattern come with a warranty?

Every case we press carries our manufacturing warranty, and the one cut for the DELL Precision is no exception. Claims go through the order page of the store you bought from — they hold the record of the purchase, so they can settle it fastest.
