Why we cut this one

MSI GF75 Thin — that is the machine this one was measured against. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.

Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten. That matters more on the MSI GF75 Thin than on most machines, because its lid is the widest flat panel you own and the first thing a dropped bag finds.

Besides the MSI GF75 Thin it swallows a charger, a short cable and a mouse, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.

This one is the X Series-Black cut in 17.3 inch. It was measured against 17.3 inch MSI GF75 Thin, for 17.3 inch Acer Aspire 5 A517, Aspire 3 A317-53-57FK/38Y1 (X8320).

Before you buy

Will the MSI GF75 Thin still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in the A517. A second hard shell already clipped to the MSI GF75 Thin is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

Will the zip pull scratch the MSI GF75 Thin?

No. The sliders on the A517 sit in a recessed channel and the pull folds flat, so the metal never reaches the MSI GF75 Thin.

What if the MSI GF75 Thin turns out to be a different revision?

Fit is the one thing we would rather you check twice. Compare the model number on the base of the MSI GF75 Thin with the list on this page, and if it is not there, send the case back through the order page of the store you bought it from.
