Why we cut this one

The A17 pattern is ours. We made this for MSI Venture A17/17 AI, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners.

A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the MSI Venture A17 the part that pays for a knock is the lid. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.

Alongside the MSI Venture A17 there is room for a power bank, earbuds and a spare drive. We would rather give you one honest pocket than four that each hold half a thing.

X Series-Black in 17 inch, and that is the whole difference between this page and its neighbours. It was measured against MSI Venture A17/17 AI.

Before you buy

Does the A17 hold its shape with nothing inside?

It does. That is the point of moulded EVA — the case stands on a shelf empty and does not collapse into a fold, so the MSI Venture A17 slides back in without a fight.

Will the zip pull scratch the MSI Venture A17?

No. The sliders on the A17 sit in a recessed channel and the pull folds flat, so the metal never reaches the MSI Venture A17.

Does the A17 come with a warranty?

Every case we press carries our manufacturing warranty, and the one cut for the MSI Venture A17 is no exception. Claims go through the order page of the store you bought from — they hold the record of the purchase, so they can settle it fastest.
