Why we cut this one

Apple MacBook Pro 2026 M5 — that is the machine this one was measured against. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.

We tried the MS89 the way the Apple MacBook Pro actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. Super Corner reinforcement sits in the four corners, which is where a dropped bag lands roughly nine times out of ten.

Pack the Apple MacBook Pro, then a travel adapter, a USB-C hub and a stylus, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.

The Black finish is what this listing is in 16.2 inch — it was measured against Apple MacBook Pro 2026 M5/2025 M5/2024 M4 A3403/2023 A2991/2021/2019, for MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2015.

Before you buy

Can I run a trolley strap through the 16.2-inch case?

Yes. The back panel is flat and firm, so a trolley strap or a shoulder strap sits across it without folding the case or pressing on the Apple MacBook Pro.

Is the 16.2-inch case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the Apple MacBook Pro stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

What if the Apple MacBook Pro turns out to be a different revision?

Fit is the one thing we would rather you check twice. Compare the model number on the base of the Apple MacBook Pro with the list on this page, and if it is not there, send the case back through the order page of the store you bought it from.
