Why we cut this one

We made this for DELL Vostro 3420, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the hard inner shell hides under a flat outer skin.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. The inner shell is the same EVA we use on the hard line — the difference is the outer skin, not the protection. We drew this pattern around the DELL Vostro with that in mind.

There is a flat pocket for an adapter, a dongle and a folded cloth. It sits against the outer wall, so adding a charger does not press anything into the lid of the DELL Vostro.

This one is the Black cut in 14 inch. It was measured against 14 inch DELL Vostro 3420,Protective Case with Accessory Pocket and Handle(UE413).

Before you buy

Is there room for the charger of the DELL Vostro?

Yes — next to the DELL Vostro the pocket takes an adapter, a dongle and a folded cloth. Bulky gaming bricks fit too, though the front then sits a little proud.

How do I clean the black finish?

A damp cloth and nothing else, with the DELL Vostro taken out first. Solvents lift the coating off the outer skin of this pattern and leave a dull patch that never evens out.

Can I order a second one for another machine?

Yes, and people often do — one for the DELL Vostro and one for whatever lives at home. Check the second machine against its own page; patterns are not shared across makes.
