Why we cut this one
We build this UrbanEdge cases around Lenovo IdeaPad 5i/5/5x. the hard inner shell hides under a flat outer skin, which is the whole reason we cut a separate pattern instead of selling one size for everything.
What we care about is the gap between the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i and the wall around it. The inner shell is the same EVA we use on the hard line — the difference is the outer skin, not the protection. A machine that slides half an inch inside its own case is a machine that arrives with a dented lid.
Pack the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i, then a phone, its cable and a set of keys, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
