Why we cut this one
The E14 pattern is ours. We made this for Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4/5/6 Laptop, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the Lenovo ThinkPad E14 the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
The front compartment takes a travel adapter, a USB-C hub and a stylus — enough that a 14-inch case stops being a laptop case and starts being the whole kit.
