Why we cut this one

This is our laptop sleeves made for DELL Precision 5470/5480/5490 Workstation. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket, so the fit is a fit and not an approximation.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. We drew this pattern around the DELL Precision with that in mind.

There is a flat pocket for a charger, a short cable and a mouse. It sits against the outer wall, so adding a charger does not press anything into the lid of the DELL Precision.

You are looking at the Elite-Black version in 14 inch. It was measured against DELL Precision 5470/5480/5490 Workstation.

Before you buy

Can I run a trolley strap through the 14-inch case?

Yes. The back panel is flat and firm, so a trolley strap or a shoulder strap sits across it without folding the case or pressing on the DELL Precision.

Is the 14-inch case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the DELL Precision stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

What if the DELL Precision turns out to be a different revision?

Fit is the one thing we would rather you check twice. Compare the model number on the base of the DELL Precision with the list on this page, and if it is not there, send the case back through the order page of the store you bought it from.
