Why we cut this one

ThinkPad P15/T15g Gen 2 — that is the machine this one was measured against. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.

What we care about is the gap between the ThinkPad P15 and the wall around it. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. A machine that slides half an inch inside its own case is a machine that arrives with a dented lid.

Besides the ThinkPad P15 it swallows a notebook, a pen and a card wallet, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.

Elite-Black in 15.6 inch, and that is the whole difference between this page and its neighbours. It was measured against ThinkPad P15/T15g Gen 2.

Before you buy

Does the P15 hold its shape with nothing inside?

It does. That is the point of moulded EVA — the case stands on a shelf empty and does not collapse into a fold, so the ThinkPad P15 slides back in without a fight.

Does it fit in a rucksack as well?

Yes — the outer walls of the P15 stay flat, so with the ThinkPad P15 inside it drops into a laptop compartment or a rucksack without bulging.

What if the ThinkPad P15 turns out to be a different revision?

Fit is the one thing we would rather you check twice. Compare the model number on the base of the ThinkPad P15 with the list on this page, and if it is not there, send the case back through the order page of the store you bought it from.
