Why we cut this one
We cut this one for ASUS/Lenovo/DELL. the lid folds back into a wedge — the A488S pattern means it goes into a bag that already has a laptop in it, and it does not change the shape of that bag.
We tried the A488S the way the ASUS actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open.
Pack the ASUS, then an adapter, a dongle and a folded cloth, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
