Why we cut this one

We made this for GoPro and DJI, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the pole locks at each section.

A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the GoPro and DJI the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The locking collars are the part that fails first on a cheap pole, so ours are metal and they bite on a wet hand. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.

There is a flat pocket for a slim charger, a cable roll and a key pouch. It sits against the outer wall, so adding a charger does not press anything into the lid of the GoPro and DJI.

Will the GoPro and DJI still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in this pattern. A second hard shell already clipped to the GoPro and DJI is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

Is the slim case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the GoPro and DJI stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

Can I order a second one for another machine?
