We made this for ASUS ExpertBook, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the handle and the strap are already on it.

We tried this pattern the way the ASUS ExpertBook actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. The strap anchors are riveted through a doubled panel, because that is the seam that tears when a bag is full.
