Why we cut this one

Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP — that is the machine this one was measured against. the handle and the strap are already on it, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.

Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. The strap anchors are riveted through a doubled panel, because that is the seam that tears when a bag is full. We drew this pattern around the Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP with that in mind.

Pack the Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP, then a notebook, a pen and a card wallet, and the blue shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.

You are looking at the Blue version in 16 inch. It was measured against MacBook,Lenovo,HP, Samsung,DELL,ASUS,Microsoft,MSI,Acer,Protective Briefcase with Hard Shell Accessory Pocket,Blue(MC04).

Before you buy

Does this pattern hold its shape with nothing inside?

It does. That is the point of moulded EVA — the case stands on a shelf empty and does not collapse into a fold, so the Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP slides back in without a fight.

Is the 16-inch case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

Can I order a second one for another machine?

Yes, and people often do — one for the Apple, ASUS, DELL and HP and one for whatever lives at home. Check the second machine against its own page; patterns are not shared across makes.
