Why we cut this one
We made this for Apple, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. each hollow is cut to the thing that goes in it.
Ask anyone who has opened a bag to a cracked screen: the knock came through a corner. Small things travel worst, because they rattle against each other all day. Every hollow here is cut to one object. We drew this pattern around the Apple with that in mind.
Pack the Apple, then a phone, its cable and a set of keys, and the pink shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
