Why we cut this one
We made this for Microsoft Surface Studio/Studio 2, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket.
The point of cutting this pattern tight to the Microsoft Surface Studio is simple: The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. Nothing moves, so nothing wears a mark into the corner of the lid.
Pack the Microsoft Surface Studio, then a phone, its cable and a set of keys, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
You are looking at the plain version in 14.4 inch. It was measured against Microsoft Surface Studio/Studio 2.
