Why we cut this one
HP/Lenovo/ASUS/DELL/ACER/Razer — that is the machine this one was measured against. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the HP the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
Alongside the HP there is room for a travel adapter, a USB-C hub and a stylus. We would rather give you one honest pocket than four that each hold half a thing.
