Why we cut this one
The S420 pattern is ours. We made this for HP Pavilion Laptop 14, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the HP Pavilion Laptop 14 the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
Pack the HP Pavilion Laptop 14, then a power bank, earbuds and a spare drive, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
Black in 14 inch, and that is the whole difference between this page and its neighbours. It was measured against 14 inch HP EliteBook 845 G11/G10/G9 Notebook PC, ZBook Firefly G11/G11A, Case with Textured Fabric,Pocket(S420).
