Why we cut this one
The S458 pattern is ours. We made this for Lenovo/DELL/HP/MSI/Apple/ASUS, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the Lenovo the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
Besides the Lenovo it swallows a brick, two cables and a pass, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.
This one is the Black cut in 14 inch. It was measured against Lenovo Yoga,DELL Latitude/XPS,HP EliteBook/Chromebook,ASUS Zenbook,Apple Macbook,MSI Modern 13,with Textured Fabric(S458).
