Why we cut this one
We cut this one for ACER/Lenovo/MSI. the cut follows one machine, not a size bracket — it goes into a bag that already has a laptop in it, and it does not change the shape of that bag.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the ACER the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The lining is brushed rather than woven rough, so the lid does not pick up a haze of fine scratches over a year. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
The front compartment takes a power bank, earbuds and a spare drive — enough that a 16-inch case stops being a laptop case and starts being the whole kit.
