ASUS — that is the machine this one was measured against. the handle and the strap are already on it, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.
The point of cutting the S15 tight to the ASUS is simple: The strap anchors are riveted through a doubled panel, because that is the seam that tears when a bag is full. Nothing moves, so nothing wears a mark into the corner of the lid.
Alongside the ASUS there is room for a notebook, a pen and a card wallet. We would rather give you one honest pocket than four that each hold half a thing.
