Why we cut this one

The A485S pattern is ours. We made this for HP OmniBook, and for the way that machine actually travels — desk, bag, train table, desk again. the handle and the strap are already on it.

The strap anchors are riveted through a doubled panel, because that is the seam that tears when a bag is full. That matters more on the HP OmniBook than on most machines, because its lid is the widest flat panel you own and the first thing a dropped bag finds.

Pack the HP OmniBook, then an adapter, a dongle and a folded cloth, and the black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.
