Why we cut this one
Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 — that is the machine this one was measured against. the lid folds back into a wedge, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
Besides the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 it swallows a brick, two cables and a pass, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.
