Why we cut this one
We cut this one for HP OmniBook X Next Gen AI 17. the lid folds back into a wedge — the MS116 pattern means it goes into a bag that already has a laptop in it, and it does not change the shape of that bag.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the HP OmniBook X Next the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
The front compartment takes a charger, a short cable and a mouse — enough that a 17.3-inch case stops being a laptop case and starts being the whole kit.
This one is the plain cut in 17.3 inch. It was measured against 17.3 inch OmniBook 7 NGAI 17, for HP ENVY Laptop 17t-cw000/17-cw0097nr Laptop Sleeve.
