Why we cut this one

We cut this one for Dell Alienware x14 R2. the lid folds back into a wedge — the MS80T pattern means it goes into a bag that already has a laptop in it, and it does not change the shape of that bag.

We tried the MS80T the way the Dell Alienware x14 R2 actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open.

Besides the Dell Alienware x14 R2 it swallows a slim charger, a cable roll and a key pouch, which is usually the difference between one bag and two.

The plain finish is what this listing is in 14 inch — it was measured against 14 inch Dell Alienware x14 R2, for 14.5 inch Acer Predator Helios NEO 14 Gaming Laptop, Acer Nitro 14 AMD.

Before you buy

Will the Dell Alienware x14 R2 still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in the MS80T. A second hard shell already clipped to the Dell Alienware x14 R2 is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

Is the 14-inch case water-resistant?

It sheds rain on the walk from the car to the door, and the Dell Alienware x14 R2 stays dry inside. It is not a dry bag — do not put it under water and expect the same.

Can I order a second one for another machine?

Yes, and people often do — one for the Dell Alienware x14 R2 and one for whatever lives at home. Check the second machine against its own page; patterns are not shared across makes.
