Why we cut this one

We build this hard cases with a built-in stand around ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5. The MS83T pattern is ours. the lid folds back into a wedge, which is the whole reason we cut a separate pattern instead of selling one size for everything.

A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.

Pack the ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5, then a charger, a short cable and a mouse, and the ms - black shell still closes flat — the pocket was sized after the machine, not before it.

Before you buy

Does the MS83T hold its shape with nothing inside?

It does. That is the point of moulded EVA — the case stands on a shelf empty and does not collapse into a fold, so the ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 slides back in without a fight.

Does it fit in a briefcase as well?

Yes — the outer walls of the MS83T stay flat, so with the ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 inside it drops into a laptop compartment or a briefcase without bulging.
