Why we cut this one
Precision 7680 — that is the machine this one was measured against. the lid folds back into a wedge, and the outside stays flat enough to slide into a locker or an overhead bin.
A case is worth its room in the bag for what it stops, and on the Precision the part that pays for a knock is the lid. The hinge is the weak point in most hard cases, so ours is reinforced along the full length and the shell stays square when the lid is open. The shell takes the hit instead, so we would rather it be stiff and slightly dull than soft and pretty.
Alongside the Precision there is room for a travel adapter, a USB-C hub and a stylus. We would rather give you one honest pocket than four that each hold half a thing.
