This is our backpacks made for ASUS/DELL/HP/Razer. The M16 pattern is ours. the laptop sits in its own hard-topped well, so the fit is a fit and not an approximation.

We tried the M16 the way the ASUS actually travels — bag on the floor of a train, bag in the boot, bag dropped on a tiled hallway. The laptop well is hard-topped and suspended off the base, so setting the pack down does not put the machine on the floor.
