The foam is cut, not poured, so the camera, the arms and the spare cells each have a hollow that holds them still. That matters more on the DJI Phantom 4 than on most machines, because its lid is the widest flat panel you own and the first thing a dropped bag finds.

There is a flat pocket for an adapter, a dongle and a folded cloth. It sits against the outer wall, so adding a charger does not press anything into the lid of the DJI Phantom 4.

As soon as I opened the package and started to roll out the backpack, I could already tell this was a quality product! The nylon material is thick and sewn together well! This is the drone case you need! My friend has a hard shell case on wheels that when empty, weighs twice as much as this loaded backpack does. The factory supplied Styrofoam case fits like a glove, and I fit my charger and charger tray in the top compartment. The top compartment is made for 4 batteries and has a padded insert. You can not remove the dividers, as one side is sewn in.

Before you buy

Will the DJI Phantom 4 still fit with a skin on the lid?

A protective skin or a thin screen cover is fine — there is a little give in this pattern. A second hard shell already clipped to the DJI Phantom 4 is not, because the case is cut to the bare machine.

How do I clean the black finish?

A damp cloth and nothing else, with the DJI Phantom 4 taken out first. Solvents lift the coating off the outer skin of this pattern and leave a dull patch that never evens out.

Can I order a second one for another machine?
